Although there are many ways to integrate Yondo with existing online services, the process is far from difficult. In this article, we will break down how you can incorporate your live sessions and videos onto your own website. These options include (from easiest to most difficult):
- Using our Pre-Made Templates
- Having Yondo Integrate your Template
- Utilizing our Plugins and Embed Codes
- Customizing Your Own Template Using Our Developer Portal
Integrate Your Pre-Made Templates
Each Yondo account includes premade templates that you can use to sell your content instantly. All of the information that you enter into your dashboard, from live 1-to-1 listing to video-on-demand, will automatically appear in your template. As a result, this makes it incredibly easy to build your own video e-commerce store. Each of your listings is given its own landing pages, simplifying how you can share your offerings with your customers.
Under the settings tab in the Yondo dashboard, you have the option to choose any of our pre-built templates to use as your own branded online store. Your selection is not permanent, so feel free to go back and change the template as you desire. We recommend you choose a style that closely resembles the overall aesthetic of your existing brand or choose one that simply stands out to you.
Our pre-made templates are the simplest and easiest way to link your website and Yondo. Just simply add a button or hyperlink with your store subdomain to your existing website. This option allows you to spend more time doing what you do best – creating expert videos related to your industry. Yondo features templates that are best suited to sell live sessions, video on demand, and webinars. Be sure to choose a template/category according to your business goals as this will help to create a professional, high-quality look that will translate into sales.
With that said, some people are looking to have a more integrated look to ensure the best possible user experience.
Let Yondo Integrate Your Template
Yondo also offers template services for those that are less technically inclines to match your Yondo online store to your website. There are multiple offerings that you would be able to take advantage of, which take all the stress out of building your online store. These include the Onboarding Package and the Turnkey Package.
Onboarding Package is the perfect solution for those looking to integrate Yondo into their existing website. Yondo will personalize the header of your page to match your current website, along with matching your color scheme. As a result, this makes it almost impossible to tell where your web pages end and your Yondo hosted pages begin. A great example of a customer who has made use of our onboarding package is Yoqi. Yondo helped Yoqi integrate their templates for a seamless user experience when accessing their online videos.
The package also includes the integration of your subdomain onto your store to ensure that your web address is completely branded. This means rather than having your template appear on yoursite.yondo.com, the pages will show up on your own domain (example: videos.yoursite.com). For some, this can be a bit tricky which is why we have included it in our Onboarding Package as well.
And what would an Onboarding Package be without actual help onboarding to the platform? The package also includes a training session for you and your team to help you build your listings and ensure that you are ready to start making the most out of the Yondo Platform.
While the Onboarding Package is perfect for those who already have their own websites, the Turnkey Package is perfect for those who are just getting started and ready to move quickly.
This package is an add-on to your Yondo Plan. It includes everything that the Onboarding Package gives you, plus a professionally designed and customizable website integrated with your Yondo online store. Yondo will take care of the initial design, and you can change your website at your own leisure from there using our intuitive website builder. The Turnkey Package is a great option for those who are a bit less technically capable as well, as there is no coding needed to make any of these changes.
The package also includes your website hosting, so all you need to bring is your own domain so we can ensure your branding is front and center. Here are several examples that Yondo has created which you can base your design off. Check them out here!
Embed Your Offerings into Your Website
The next way that you can integrate Yondo into your website is to add embed codes and plugins. Each feature of Yondo includes its own embeddable capability, meaning that you don’t need to use a Yondo template at all. You can add the functionality directly into your website with minimal technical knowledge. For instance, you can add your own book now buttons to streamline your Live 1-to-1 booking process and add videos on demand to sell as subscriptions right into your website. Embed codes and plugins are great for those who don’t want to change their website’s design but want to feature their Yondo offerings.
If your website was created using a website builder like Wix or Weebly, there will most likely be an embed code or HTML element that you can add to your website. All you need to do is copy the plugin code from the product you would like to offer, then paste it into your element. After that, your function should be accessible to all of your customers. To learn how to perform use the embed functionalities, check out this article on How to integrate Yondo into your website.
Pro Tip: If you have profile pages for your team members that will be offering Live 1-to-1 sessions on your website, you can create team member-specific buttons to add to their individual pages. As a result, your customers will be able to easily navigate through your website and find exactly what they are looking for.
Customizing the Templates to Match Your Website
If you are looking to achieve a more unique and personalized design for your online store, customizing your template is the most comprehensive way to do so. Through Yondo’s Developer Network, you or your team can edit almost every aspect of your online store, from the styling variables to the layout of your listings. It’s important to note, however, that to edit your template you will need a basic knowledge of HTML or a web developer that will be able to help you code your template.
Yondo’s template engine is built on liquid, which is the same solution that Shopify uses for its e-commerce stores. This makes it incredibly easy to edit for those who are familiar with developing Shopify stores and means there are heaps of developers that are ready to help!
Whether the edits are being made by yourself or a developer, the first step is to create an account on the Yondo Partner Account and give the partner account developer access within your Yondo dashboard. Many of our users who build their own template, base the design off of our available templates and customize the look to match their own website. We also provide Developer Documents to guide you and your team through creating your very own template.
